The St. Modwen Phase 4 development in Lincoln, led by Caddick Construction, aimed to deliver a state-of-the-art industrial warehouse while integrating sustainable and aesthetic landscaping features.
This project, spanning 111,000 sq ft, required careful planning and execution to balance industrial utility with environmental considerations, making it a model of modern, sustainable construction.

Sustainable and Aesthetic Landscaping Solutions
- Plug Planting and Pond Balancing:
- We executed plug planting around newly installed ponds to enhance biodiversity and support local ecosystems.
- Balancing the ponds helped create a sustainable aquatic environment, essential for local flora and fauna.
- Amenity Seeding:
- Over 2 acres of amenity seeding were carried out, transforming open spaces into, green areas that offer both aesthetic and environmental benefits.
- Formal Ornamental Shrub Planting:
- Our team planted a variety of ornamental shrubs, adding visual interest and contributing to the overall landscape design’s attractiveness.
- Native Hedgerow Planting:
- Native hedgerows were planted to provide natural habitats for wildlife, promoting biodiversity and enhancing the ecological balance of the area.
- Tree Planting:
- We planted 80 extra heavy standard trees, creating shaded areas and contributing to the site’s green canopy, which helps in carbon sequestration and improves air quality.
