The Challenge:
Landscaping a live, high-security manufacturing site
Haribo is expanding its production facilities with a major extension next to its existing plant. The project covers 13 hectares and includes a new storage warehouse and an elevated conveyor link.
Atlas Green was asked to deliver the landscaping works across the site while working within a busy, fully operational manufacturing environment. This required care, coordination, and strict safety planning.
The Transformation:
A greener, more welcoming industrial landscape
Once established, the wildflower areas will create bright seasonal colour and support pollinators. The heavy standard trees will mature into a strong green canopy, adding shade and long-term visual interest.
The landscaping improves the setting of the new facility and enhances the wider site, helping Haribo meet modern environmental expectations.
The Approach:
Practical, efficient, and environmentally aware
Working with Caddick Construction, our team carried out a full programme of soft landscaping to blend the new development into the wider landscape.
Key tasks included:
- Importing and spreading 1,800 tonnes of topsoil
- Cultivating and sowing over 8,000m² of wildflower and amenity grass seed
- Planting 33 heavy standard trees
- Strengthening a mixed native planting zone to support biodiversity
Each stage was planned to avoid disruption to Haribo’s operations while meeting all project deadlines.
